Children's belly dance is back at Desert Wind!

This term we are offering a short but super sweet children's class for ages 5-10. The children will perform a mini dance for friends and family at the April Student Night.

Dates:  Wednesdays, March March 14 to April 25th, 6 weeks (no classes during Easter break).

Time: 6:00pm - 6:45pm

Cost:  $70

What can you expect from Desert Wind children's classes?

Desert Wind offers children's belly dance fusion classes each term.  Our instructors focus on basic belly dance movements, body awareness, respect, and fun.

We find that it is important for young girls to learn a new skill, like undulating or snake arms for instance, and when that skill is showcased in a choreography the children learn confidence.  Parents are invited to view the choreography at the end of each term.  Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We also offer children's birthday parties! They're actually one of our most popular type of party. 

• You have use of our studio for 2 hours
• Each child receives a bindi (forehead charm)
• We teach the children belly dance for 30-45 minutes, depending on age, and we make use of our props such as veils and coin belts
• We supply a craft or coloring sheets for the children
• You supply snacks, drinks, cake, and whatever else you'd like to bring (warning: some of our dancers LOVE cake)
• The birthday child is presented with a special gift from Desert Wind

We ask that you help us keep the studio clean after each children's party.  It can get perty messy in there!
